"So fewer and more expensive chips will bring in new (young) collectors? Makes Sense!"
Sorry, I didn't realize I said this.
"Are these new young collectors mortgaged to their eyeballs and raising 3 kids working 2 jobs (with no health ins) just starting to collect a few chips??"
I resemble that remark.
"And these OLD pharts, are they the ones with paid off houses and cars with kids grown and are laying back harvesting their 401K's and life long investments that have 5000+ chips in their collection?"
I bet when or if you decide to sell your collection; you'll sell it to someone younger than yourself. And I'm the betting type.
"Good target! And releasing only 250 will really bring them in droves!"
The HR has developed the chip program nicely. Every once in a while they make a blunder. But I bet every other casino in LV wishes they can be as successful as they are with a chip program.
Getting back to the comment I made about targeting younger people. The HR is targeting that market. And therefore it has created an interest in chips, pins, etc... with the younger crowd.
As related to chip collecting, it is great that younger people get involved. They will be the future of this hobby / investment. If new people don't get involved, eventually this hobby would dry up... and that's not going to happen.
BTW, I only have one HR chip in my meager collection. (Thanks for that one Jay!)

I thought the HR released 5000 $5 Sammy chips? Even I can afford that!
