Some of the yellow $2.50's are probably original, Avram. However, some of them are not as I've given a couple the 'acetone' test and they do not dissolve.

I tested an 'undrilled' one; maybe only the drilled ones have the original plastic? That would make some kind of sense if they were discovered by Harrahs and all were cancelled before being discarded.
