You could probably buy a used model of my newest laptop for 5 c-notes, and use it to replace your home desktop! You can hook up everything that you would to a desktop, and they take up a lot less space on your desk!

If I was going to be at the convention, I'd loan you a laptop, and if you liked it, you could take it home with you. I've retired one laptop (wore it out and it was slow) and am ready to retire another one. ...not too slow (200 mh pentium, a real 56k modem) but not enough HD space (only two gig).

Clear off your desk, buy a laptop. You won't regret it!
