I went back in the archives. Rene said that Steve Wells offered him $4000 for his chip. Rene responded to teve that there was no way in hell he would let it go for that amount after Steve 'insulted' him on the bbs.

I really don't believe anything that was said. Isn't honesty in the CCGTCC code somewhere?
