Can you show me any credible evidence showing:
1) That there is widespread unnecessary duplicative testing and patient care being administered?
2) That such duplicative testing and care (if any) actually causes health care costs to rise.
3) That such duplicative testing and care (if any) is the result of litigation.
4) That such duplicative testing and care (if any)is actually not beneficial.
There are many factors which contribute to high medical costs.
One is the ridiculously high compensation of many medical professionals. Yes I know that there are many medical professionals with low salaries (primarily support personnel), but physicians and certain other professionals continue to make extremely high amounts of money. I have no problem with that, I just don't understand why when people look to point the blame for high medical costs everybody looks to lawyers without noticing that its the doctors living in the mansions and driving the expensive cars.
