Can't agree with that generalization. Been driving Japanese machines for the past twelve years (on my 4th one now), and not a single rattle, nothing falling off, no wind noise, etc. I'll take my Japanese-built car over a German-built any day... much lower maintenance costs and REAL cup holders too.
