"It will be interesting to see if those who are vehemently pro-union will forsake the convention and hold to their convictions should that situation come to pass."

I don't wish tough personal decisions upon my friends who are/were union people, but if a strike does occur, they just might understand how actions taken by people in some arena that dosen't involve them personally can all of a sudden directly affect them personally! Will they stand by their lifelong convictions in support of all unions, or make an exception in this case because there are not alternative choices?
