Different times Charles. Teachers would bring in a radio & we would all listen to the World Series.If the Series was on you never saw a kid on the street. It still amazes me to see an empty baseball field. We waited hours for out turn to play on the East River Drive or Central park fields. I still view Podres 2-0 shutout as one of the worst days of my life....
