Are there only babies on this board; children whose life span totals a half dozen years? Harry Carey was the Card's broadcaster from before I began listening after WW II until he was in a horrible accident and the Bush fired him; he was badly injured but recovered and went to the Cubs--I forget the years but he was in his 70's when he began with the Cubbies; his "kid" broadcast games for the Cards after he left and I think even he may now have retired but living in NY I don't get my beloved Card games any more.
