The Bootlegger is owned by the Hunt Family, Lorraine's Mother and Father created it (I believe they are now deceased). Ms. Hunt is the Lt. Governor of Nevada and is right now running for re-election. There is a ton of campaign material at the restaurant.

Blackie Hunt performed with a group called the Characters (spelled with a backwards "r") and was Inducted into the Casino Legends Hall of Fame a few presentations back. Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt has also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I had the honor to be invited to a Hall of Fame After Party (several weeks ago) which took place at the Bootlegger. Blackie and Sonny King (another Hall of Famer) were doing their show and from time-to-time the Lt. Governor would step up to the microphone and sing. In her previous life she was a Vegas Showgirl.

Blackie and Sonny perform every Friday and Saturday night and the format of the show allows patrons to perform. The Bootlegger is known as a place for some performers in Vegas to tryout a new act.
