I had the opportunity to have dinner with Mike Skelton Friday night. SInce Mike is running unnopposed for CCGTCC President, I suppose he doesn't need my endorsement, but then again, the fact that he's running unopposed means that I don't have to worry about hurting his campaign by having one of the board's resident loudmouths sing his praises.

While Mike and I only spoke in very broad terms about the direction the club should be moving, I was extremely impressed. He seems dedicated to expanding the CCGTCC, and helping broaden the hobby as a whole. His willingness to listen to and actually seek out new ideas will undoubtedly help him to achieve great things. I look forward to be able to help him in whatever small ways I can.

I also have to say that Mike introduced me to an incredible restaurant -- the Bootlegger. The best Italian food I've had here in Vegas, and a show that made me feel like I was catching a glimpse of rat pack era Vegas. Thanks Mike.
