Seriously I was the king of screwing this up, even after all the helpful advise. It really is pretty easy. Some tips for the novice--
1. Since you cut or copy the "http://" along with the rest of the address, don't leave the original or you end up with "http://http://" and you get the all familiar red X.
2. Always use the preview button at the bottom of the screen. If the picture/ scan doesn't show in the preview, it will not show when you post it. I catch so many of my spelling errors this way.
3. Always use a password when posting so you can delete your posting before the whole board sees it. Limit your mistakes to a few viewers.
