Many buyers (and sellers) like myself want to buy what they see. In collectables like coins and chips, condition make a significant difference in price. It affects the amount I bid if the chip has nicks, worn edges, worn hot stamp, or other "defects". As a seller, I always scan the chip I'm selling and include non-mint condition defects in the description. I've been burned a couple times when a chip arrived not as pictured or not as expected.
