It was reported that I also sent out virus infected email. I have a laptop and a desktop. Both are protected by Norton Anti-Virus. NAV actually opens my mail and scans for viruses before it gives it to my email program. It has caught several infected emails everyday for the last couple of weeks. Both of my systems show up clean when they are scanned for viruses and when they are scanned with a special program for the "klez" virus that is going around. Every day when I power up my PC, it is set to check for virus definition updates from the manufacturer's web site.
I installed an updated release of NAV this past weekend. NAV now scans outgoing mail for viruses!!! This means that even if my system did get infected with a virus that propagates itself by sending out its own emails, NAV would stop the outgoing emails.
