James, did you make it up to Jackpot? Anything new there? One of my favorite small towns.
I did the "loop" tour of Nevada some years ago: LV east, then north, through Pioche, Baker, saw the National Park, Ely, Wendover, Wells, Jackpot, then back to I-80 thru Elko, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Fallon, then Reno & Tahoe. Then south on 95 thru Carson City, Hawthorne, Tonopah, Beatty, Pahrump and back to LV. Other small towns too along the way. Lots of fun and gives a 1st hand perspective on where those small-town chips are from. But its also a LOT of driving.
