Lone Star Casino was a short-lived casino on Tinian Island (tiny Pacific island, made famous as the launching point for the Enola Gay when it dropped the A-bomb on Japan). The idea was to bring Asian gamblers in to the casino. Was run by Lone Star Casino Corp. based in Houston, TX. Opened in 1996, but didn't last very long (less than 1 year I think).
Chipco made the chips -- $1, $5, $25, $100, $500 and a $5 grand opening.
When the casino closed, the rack of chips came back to US. First sold by someone in Houston, associated with the parent company. Then Chipco wound up with them (returned for nonpayment??) They were for sale on the Chipco website for awhile -- $1 each I think. No longer on the Chipco website. They aren't "rare" but I can't direct you to anyone that has them for sale.
