RAISE IT: Bellagio poker boss Doug Dalton

announced last week that the upscale

megaresort would host a $25,000 buy-in,

no-limit Texas hold'em tournament next year.

If the planned tourney takes place, it would

supplant the $10,000 buy-in championship of

the World Series of Poker as the most

expensive tournament entry in poker.

MGM Mirage Director of Sports and Promotions

Scott Ghertner said the company will likely try

to sign a title sponsor for the event.
