>>Trial lawyers don't want tort reform. I don't wonder why. ...its pretty obvious....
I make very little from personal injury suits. Most of my income comes from other matters.
So if your suggestion is that the reason i object to Tort Reform is because I have a financial incentive as an attorney your greatly mistaken.
You say: She spilled coffee on herself therefore all consequences are her own fault. You say coffee is supposed to be hot, but even you must agree that there is a temperature limit for what is reasonable for coffee. You however without actually hearing any of the evidence (as the Jury did) have decided that this coffee wasn't excessively hot, in fact you have decided it was the right temperature for drinking. I suppose you were there?
If you want criticize a jury verdict, thats fine, but unless you have bothered to hear and see all (or at least most of) the evidence that the Jury heard and saw your opinion of their verdict is meaningless because by definition you are ignorant of the relevant facts.
You asked what she lost?
Either you have no concept of what a 3rd degree burn is, or you believe that suffering from pain and incapicitation is not a loss. I asked you how much for an arm? You didn't answer. Let me be more specific. How much for your right arm?
