item. In conjunction with some of the other past threads regarding defacing (LE's, autographs, bullet holes, flower garden tags, etc.) and this "coin" related thread, I met a guy a couple weeks ago who said his family had been involved with a casino in Las Vegas (downtown area).

He couldn't remember the name, but it had a riverboat theme. He said that he had a storage facility that had some stuff from there, including 30,000 Morgan dollars that used to be used at the casino.

All of those Morgan dollars have the dates filed off! This was done by the casino so that collectors would stop walking away with them.

Anyway, thats his story. Don't know if its true, just passing on what he told me.
