Great idea! Whether we sell "chances" or give free tickets for a "donation", it would seem to me that more members would participate than we could expect if the lot is auctioned.

Another thought is that I wouldn't want to subdivide the lot to allow more "winners". Better to make it "winner take all" thank try to figure out how to divide it into several smaller lots.

I don't collect slot cards (that's for Mike Poole's information) but I'd buy a couple chances to get some trading material mor chips.
