And if there was damage under the inlay...maybe, oh, let's say it had a hole in it.....replacing the inlay might have left a dent?

Let me be clear....I do not know the seller, I am not accusing the seller of anything.....we do know (if we believe DW--and why would he say he did, if he didn't?) that there are chips that have been filled and have had inlays replaced....

drilled chips are looking better and better....
