....But sometimes the postal employee at the destination end finds that the envelope does not meet the requirements for .34¢ regular postage and either (a) returns it to the sender for insufficient postage or (b) collects the .11¢ postage due from the recipient. Sometimes the recipient will refuse to pay the additional postage and the package is returned to the sender.
Would it not make more sense for mailers to invest in an inexpensive digital postage scale and pre-affix the proper postage stamps to their packages accordingly before mailing?
