I am very pleased to announce that we are now down to one last remaining outstanding past winner of the Club's Annual COTY, TOTY and SSOTY Awards competition. With the assistance of Membership Director Ralph Myers (beerguy1) we made a successful winning bid on eBay for the Club purchase of the 1993 TOTY winner, the $28 Aladdin Hotel and Casino, Taj Mahal Silver Strike. Thank you Ralph for your eBay ID, and I also thank Dennis Finn for directing my attention to this eBay auction, which closed at $200!

Remaining at-large, at this time, is the 1997 TOTY winner, the $10 Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Bridge Silver Strike. This strike has been rather elusive and everyone is requested to keep an eye out for one.

Although the Club has made this past TOTY winner purchase, it remains a very important objective of the Permanent COTY, TOTY and SSOTY Collection Project that every piece be member donated. In keeping with that objective I would now like make this addition to the Project available for sponsorship by at least one, if not more members, as follows:

As of the posting time of this message (on Greg's BBS) Club members are invited to assess to what degree (if any) that they would like to donate money for reimbursement to the Club for the purchase of this $200 item. If you wish to participate then select a single Group corresponding to the amount of support you would like to give and post a message stating that you pledge yourself to that Group (A - I). The very first Group to be completed will become the donor Group and each member will receive recognition as the donor of the 1993 TOTY to the Permanent COTY, TOTY and SSOTY Display.

Group A - $200 (This grouping is complete with just one person.)
Group B - $100 (This grouping is complete with two people.)
Group C - $66 (This grouping is complete with three people.)
Group D - $50 (This grouping is complete with four people.)
Group E - $40 (This grouping is complete with five people.)
Group F - $33 (This grouping is complete with six people.)
Group G - $29 (This grouping is complete with seven people.)
Group H - $25 (This grouping is complete with eight people.)
Group I - $20 (This grouping is complete with ten people.)

Remember, the first complete Group will be declared the donor Group. All commitments must be posted here (on Greg's BBS) AND in this thread to be valid. The system clock will govern what time a posting was made. If you are currently a donor of other COTY, TOTY and SSOTY winner I ask that you refrain from participating and give others an opportunity.
