Regardless of the value or the need to authenicate genuine brass core chips, I would still not want the slabbing companies to get any business from the casino chip collecting hobby. When these companies were asked legitimate questions of concern by chip collectors, they refused to answer:

o Who is doing the authenication/grading?
o What are their qualifications?
o What grading standards are they using?
o What does the guarantee provide?

No matter what is bring offered, there is no reason to do business with someone that you cannot trust. It does not make sense to let someone you do not trust to get their foot in the door. Keep them out.
