Frankly, it isn't pleasant to see some of the exchanges but I would have to say I do not see much that indicates that any of it will lead to the destruction of this group or club. I have been a member of ccgtcc for a year and a lurker and participant of this board for 3 or 4 yrs, can't remember. Anyways, I have seen a lot of fights here about chip shows, chip releases and hoarding, slabbing and other things. Sometimes they get very heated but they eventually calm down and often feelings between the participants softens a bit. There haven't really been that many situations where friendships or feelings between individuals have been permanently severed. I am sure it has happened though.

Anyways, When I encounter one of these threads, here or on USENET or other BBs and groups, I read enough to get a feel for the issue and be informed and if it continues and just goes around and around, I usually just avoid the discussions and just stop reading the threads. I think most people do that anyways and most of the ongoing fighting becomes between the fighting parties. As you probably know, you don't have to read it if it offends you. Personally? None of it does offend me and you are right in assuming that someone will say it is positive for chipping. To a certain extent the subjects are informative and valuable to chipping. The current issues above about RIO BBall chips or VERY LOW LIMITED EDITIONS are examples. I haven't seen much fighting yet but did read a snap or two. The issue is valuable though. I do read them and inform myself of the issue. As the emotions start to rise and cloud the actual issue, or load up my browser with new response that I can't reed all of in a lifetime, I will probably just pass over the countless posts and find another subject.

Please don't let it get to you and harm your overall experience here. I for one have had a couple of tense moments or differences in opinioins with some participants over the years but still value most of their opinions and expert experiences on the face of it. While feelings can get hurt a little, usually I find myself agreeing with those same people on another topic. I think that is a big part of this. Some people have strong feelings on some issues and will snap back at you easilly but there is usually nothing PERSONAL about it. Heck, IT IS ONLY A HOBBY!!!
