I have a different perspective. My training is in business, not public service. When a decision is made it is crucial that all parties publicly stand behind it. The appropriate action if you feel strongly about your point of view is to work harder to convince the other decision makers of your position. Perhaps then will come the change you seek. Publicly disagreeing with policy will only serve to get you out of the organization.
Board members need to be able to have unrestricted conversations so that they can express their points of view without reservation. The membership needs to know about the decisions the board makes, they do not have to know about how the decisions were made.
