I think there are several legitimate poker sites; Poker Digest touts them. Recently, one of the "big boys" went bust--on line gambling outfit--Aces something. I think they got hit on the Super Bowl. But they didn't have live poker. I don't play on line for several reasons: 1) the sites aren't regulated (despite claims to that effect); 2) many they aren't insured so if they go bust too bad; 3) more important, I am obsessive compulsive and can see myself devoting hours on line when I could be doing something useful such as reading good books; 4) as for poker, don't kid yourself; cheating is certainly possible--tho not by the casino. Players could be sitting next to each other with two pc's or in contact with each other and share info as to their hands. The big poker gamers contend that collusion while possible can be spotted and controlled--maybe, but.... Finally, I like the response that in effect said what fun is there sitting in your pj's playing silently; the fun of craps, roulette and even that game I cannot manage to count, is in the sharing of people; hearing the slots; the screams as some housewife hits a $25 nickel jackpot, etc. So I will wait until June 4 before dumping my kid's inheritances on the tables and slots.
