Yes it is and the tip off is the double file extension, one who is real and executes the virus, onto your computer. (for those without Norton)
If Kate has/had it she wouldn't know her system is sending the messages, and the virus changes the senders email by adding a "_" or other methods, so attempts to warn the sender will be blocked.
This one doesn't always fire, and picks names and addresses from history, not just the address book.
Hopefully this will help get it removed. I used to get six of these a week (I run Norton and Netscape) The virus is stripped out by Netscape and can't run. It only attacks computers running Internet Explorer, with preview ON or if someone clicks on the file.
