I've heard some issues regarding the proposal to issue convention chips at 10 different casinos to commemorate our 10th anniversary. I thought this original proposal was put forth by George Conrad when he took over as convention chair. The first I heard of this was from George who got the support from the board and was excited to spearhead this effort. Since his passing, I also thought that this effort has been taken up by Steve Zacchi. I thought the original intent was to get other casinos involved in our club and to help satisfy the attendees desire for more chips.
If I'm wrong, could someone clarify. Would it be better not to have any other casinos involve themselves with issuing strikes/chips for our convention?
