Joe,
It is hard to explain, at least for me.
But, I think if you turn it left to right, the hot stamp will come up the same. The hot stamp is aligned front and back.
I think they call it medal aligned and our friend Borland went to a lot of time and trouble to do it. No one knows why.
He hotstamped these at night and the guy that ran his store did not even know it. I can't remember his name at this time but I have talked to him many times.
I also spoke to Bud Jones before he died. He told me he did not make the Foxxy Lady chips. (I have the $5 also). Bud Jones only had one salesman in the 70's. He also confirmed that they did not make the chips. He is still in the gaming supply business and a club member.
Is there real Foxxy Lady chips? I don't know. I do know that the chances of a real Foxxy Lady chip hot stamp being aligned front and back is slim. I will call Harvey Fuller today.
Many of Borlands chips are still being touted today as real. Everytime the NV Club Starter chips or the Centerfold chips are shown, an arguement breaks out. Like the Foxxy Lady chips, they are also Borland counterfits. People always say that Borland made some real chips for real casinos. They never say which ones, that I know of. IMO it is a way to justify what they are selling. I have 1 Borland chip that I believe is a real chip. It is listed in TCR as a fake. Remember Borland did not counterfit chips from open casinos except the DI $100's he paid his hookers with.
We will see the same thing in a few years with the brass core fakes being made at this time.
