1965, the year I moved to California. Preferred the Rainbow, never cared for it's sister casino, the Monterrey. Never played or as far as I remember, even entered the Embassy Club. I called the Normandie home for many years, but only since they moved to Vermont and Rosecrans. Played once in a while at the El Dorado, but for the most part, I stayed pretty much with the Rainbow in those days.
