O.K. Perhaps its a matter of semantics Peter.... I can accept that ... but just for discussion purposes...

We now know that the investigation is still ongoing ... and that there are reportedly some club members who alegedly are not cooperating by providing information ... but the question I still have lingering in the back of my head is who Mr. W. was selling these "altered" chips to (if he was selling them) and for what purpose were they being bought?

The original transaction may have been up front as far as disclosure goes between the seller and the buyer .... much like the fence who is buying counterfeit money. He knows the stuff is bad ... but the people to whom the buyer is passing it off to do not know.

So there are still many unanswered questions that hopefully will come to light ... eventually.

In speaking with an anonymous source this afternoon, perhaps the real solution is that maybe the club should not even have gotten involved with this matter and instead simply should have turned it over to law enforcement to deal with.

Perhaps the club Claims Director's duties should be re-defined to only encompass unsatisfactory transactions between club members who are bringing claims against each other to resolve disputes ... rather than investigating potential criminal mischief between un-named parties the club doesn't know anything about... which may or may not occur at a later date.
