The one that sold at Rene's show was purple. The answer to your question depends upon when TCR 8 came out. If Rene's first show was shortly BEFORE the last convention than I would say it is not the same chip. If TCR 8 came out a long time after Rene's show, it could be the same chip. Check with our past Club President he is the one who purchased it.
