It is a shame that we have to keep track of these fake chips so we don't get burned. The people making these chips should be prosecuted by the owners of the trade names they are using on these fake/commemorative chips. I'm sure the owners of the trade names are not seeing any money from the production and sale of these bogus chips. Just because the hotel/casino no longer exists does not mean someone has the right use the name/likeness and put it on a chip and sell for profit. These trade names are likely still owned by individuals/corporations (Dunes by Bellagio/MGM Mirage, Sands by Venetian, etc.). A possible suggestion to hindering the production of these fake chips is to identify who is making them and contact the owners of the trade names. Just my thoughts.
