Maybe I can shed a little light on Milt Sculky's action at the A.C. Chapter meeting. First of all I was not in attendance at the meeting. Second, I neither support nor defend the purposeful defacing of any collectible to gain an edge on the market for that collectible. The information I received was Milt was bidding on the Trump Castle Royal Flush Series Queen of Spades and put a $50 bill on the table and won the lot and defaced it with a pocket knife in front of those present. Now, for those who are not familiar with the Castle Royal Flush Series, the chips were put out intermittently over a time period. At the time the Queen of Spades was put out(I remember that day very well)Archie and Brenda Black and I were attending the funeral service and burial of our friend and Club Membership Officer Jim Harpp in New York State. When we returned to New Jersey the blaring headlines on the internet was "...the Queen has been captured!" We were locked out along with dozens of other collectors of that set. A late Club Member and casino collectibles dealer had managed to gain possession of a large majority of the Queens thus controlling a chip that would turn out to be a key chip in the series. There were 1000 of each chip issued in the Royal Flush Series.
Disect my last two sentences above and determine for yourselves what Milt Sculky's motive was the day he defaced the Royal Flush Series Queen of Spades. Was it anger or greed?
