don't forget this other little guideline from the code of ethics:

3. To base all of my dealings on the highest plane of justice, fairness and morality.

The destruction of chips for the sole purpose of keeping of other collectors from getting them . . . thus driving up the value of your own collection certainly is far from the highest plane of justice, fairness and morality.

If a collector destroyed chips for some other reason, though I might not agree with it, I would not find it to be nearly as offensive as destruction for the purposes of greed.
