You're absolutely correct. I wasn't complete in my post. I actually should have said that they have done this online as well as their books, giving everyone access without the need to purchase 8 books to get 8 different codings. There is a coding in the Colorado price guide, but not online.

I did mention The Chip Rack but did fail to give the 3 authors the proper Kudos as well. My mistake. My appologies to: Allan Myers, Ernie Wheelden, and Michael Knapp...sorry guys for the omission. We all will admit that the TCR is the bible of Nevada chip collecting. No collector should be officially called a collector until they own a copy.---btw, im sure you will want to send me a free copy of the 9th edition for that glowing advertisement.

May I suggest---that ALL chips be represented online with a scan and number. The price guide writers can still sell the guides--but we should make the numbers and scans available to the world. To say that we dont need to because people wont want to change is a tad short sighted. Becuase as new collectors step up..they will use the new system. The OCD collectors will be happy to revise their lists. I know I will. But in time...all of us will be old (or older-or gone)and our lists will be meaningless. I think NOW is the time to start brining back the movement. I'd be happy to assist a bit if my help is needed. I think there would be quite a few volunteers to help out. I think between the motivated folks here, and all of us that think about this j=hobby too much as we do (see OCD posts again)i think we could make some headway. Evn if we just start with the groups that need the ID codes. We can leave the TCR numbers as is for now.
