Re: What group is the $5 pool & password?

Yahoo has free email accounts, and they don't have to be linked to anything. It takes about ten minutes to sign up.

Sportingnews.com has a free pool, slightly different scoring and rules for tie-breaker than ESPN. Just in case you have a local pool to run and don't want to be dealing with three or four different ESPN names. ESPN closest to final score, SNews closest to final game total points.

Reading the ESPN rules, it says only the first entry by any player is elgible for the prizes. (as if I've ever come close?)

I would assume that you need another ID connected to your regular email address, to enter two pools. If the system is that smart I'd be surprised.

In other words, make another ESPN ID for the second pool. I'll try it this afternoon and see if it dumps me from the local pool.

If nothing else, get a free email address from Yahoo, Excite or Opera. The Opera account, if you can get past their front page, allows viewing from remote locations, while the other two are linked to their system and web pages. Also Yahoo is supposed to have some spam protection.
