Shawn Scott has bought a 4% interest in our nearby and almost defunct Vernon Downs trotters/Paces tract (19,000 shares) and is seeking to get controlling interest. The track is slated to get 500 video gaming devices soon under state legislation designed to help NY's struggling tracks. The track is in the same vicinity as Turning Stone but was going down hill long before the successful casino/resort was built.
