Recently discovered find from Casino Estadio Punta del Este turned up a number of mother of pearl chips as well as a few plaques in 20,000 & 50,000 denominations. The chips are said to be from the 20's or possibly earlier. Does anybody have any information about this casino which is in Uraguay? The dealer also had chips from a "clandestine" casino made of bone with a drawing of a matte drink. Seems like a whole lot more research is needed for the casinos in South America.
