that's the original "Vic". It's a sign on a drugstore (curently Mermaids/previously Sassy Sallys/Silver Palace/Carousel....and a drugstore before any of those).

The sign says "Here it is! The Famous PIONEER CLUB" It has Vic's head and hand, with his thumb pointing to the Pioneer Club, across the street. There's also an arrow pointing to the Pioneer.

The El Dorado was open from 1947 - 1951, but I can never remember when the "real" Vic made his debut.
I believe it was either 1947 or 1952.

Hmmmmm.....I have another postcard of the El Dorado, and the date code on the card is 6B...as I understand it, that means 1946? uhhhh-ohhhhhh...
