The Apache Hotel NEVER - I repeat NEVER had any gaming on its own. The Apache hotel was owned by a different person (group) than the casino they leased that was located under the hotel. The Apache Hotel still sits above the Horseshoe and maintains its majestic history as it has throughout its many years of presence.

The chip Alex refers to is a chip with a picture of an indian on it. Armin has them and likes to have fun while claiming the chip is from the Apache Hotel. However, he knows better but "loves" pulling the leg of anyone who is willing to listen. By the way, the story makes for good conversation. That is why Armin still tells it. Best, Jim
