Probably because TAMS is not CTAMS ... (Chip, Token & Medal Society).

Seriously, though .... did you know that TAMS was originally called The Token, Medal & Paper Money Society? When the Paper Money collectors split away to form their own group ... it simply became TAMS.

Also, TAMS does not have their own convention ... but the Paper Money Society does ... as does CC & GTCC.
