I don't remember just how many players (including Mike Spinetti and myself) were participating--I think around 80 or so, but Bill just made it to the "Bubble."

With the blinds at $400 and $800, he made a stand with a great hand, played it perfectly, but was rivered by a runner-runner flush which knocked him out just one place out of the money.

In any case we had a great time, got many slots and keys and the drive back through Donner Pass with a full moon and snow on the Sierra-Nevada mountains made the drive real pleasurable.

Oh, yes, I picked up a couple of extra year of the horse chips which are available for sale at my usual price. They are plenty still available at the cages.
