Archie, you asked "How does one restore an old chip to mint condition?"

I've asked myself a similar question for the last week or so......My husband and I attended the collectible show at the Plaza in Las Vegas. We were just leaving a booth when someone else walked up to it. We overheard a comment that has stuck in my head...."Oh yes, I remember meeting you! I was at the (__?__) show talking with (__?__) when you got to his booth. You're the one who restores old chips!" None of the names stuck, cuz there was nothing noteworthy about the conversation til the last comment that we heard. sad I kind of wish we'd lingered to hear more....

Now I wonder how many old chips are "restored", to what degree they are "restored", if they are sold as "restored", are damaged parts replaced to "restore" a chip.....etc.
