Update on WTC Memorial Project in Beaumont,

To those of you who sent donations to the WTC Memorial that is being erected here in Beaumont, Saturday is the 'official' ground breaking. There has been a LOT of preparation for this, clearing land, leveling, etc. One of the firefighters has come in from New York to be a 'Guest of the City' for the next three days. He will speak at the ceremony and said he has brought some mementos from the actual WTC to be displayed at the memorial along with some dirt/ash that will be interned. I have quite a full schedule and will not be able to attend, but will have people there I my behalf, and I expect a nice assortment of pictures. I don't have a list of speakers handy or I would post.

There have been invitations sent to those who donated, with the exception of Scott Blackburn. It seems when they sent out the invitations, they made the same mistake I have made many times, too little postage on Canadian mail. It came back, I will try and retrieve it and forward it. Sorry Scott.
