I think there are alot of great ideas here....but one thing i know is that to a point...it can be cost prohibitive. I talked to Pat about some ideas about scans. It really comes the price to produce it with scans:
Producing a price guide that doesnt require her to sell it for 50.00 a piece. She is producing this on a very small scale. So this really cuts down on her ability to put in a bunch of scans. There would be nothing that would please me more then to see the slot card guide, as well as all others duplicate the format of Greg Susongs Riverboat priceguide. Organized my state, then by casino...with a color scan of each and every entry. I think the only viable alternative would be to do an online version for listing scans.
I would love to see a slot card (and even Silver Strike too) online version of the the Chipguide. Maybe we call it the CardGuide and KeyGuide. Would that be awesome..or what?
We need to also remember that its an enormous undertaking. Alot of time and energy go into something like this. Patti and Steve have started a great guide here, and i think it is evolving. And will continue to evolve with our help.
I think that as orders go up, and they know they will sell a certain number...they will be willing to put more money into producing the guide. At that point they will be able to keep the price fair and make up more in volume.
just some thoughts
