Hi Janice,
Here is what I know or have heard about the $25 Horseshoe, Las Vegas, ARODIE, Green w/ 3-Yellow inserts, TCR #N0365. At one time it was a rare expensive chip. Sometime in mid 1999, many boxes of these chips were released by the Horseshoe's owner and were sold very cheaply. A person known as Tony Daniels was selling them on Ebay or to individuals in the $50-60 range. He had several different $5, $25 & $100 Horseshoe ARODIE chips for sale. He told me that he had the entire supply but I can't confirm that being true. His price on three different $5 ARODIE chips were in the $30 range. In the past year or so, these chips have become so common that the values have come down even more and many collectors are afraid to buy them at any price. In my opinion, the retail value of these chips presently is about $30-$40 each. A dealer buying all 65 or 70 would only pay about $10 each. He would have to sit on them as they would not sell very swiftly. The question going through most of our minds is, how many more of these chips are out there? I have no idea. I know that I would not put a lot of money into ANY Horseshoe Club chips at the present time. As I stated, this is only MY opinion.
