I too have seen boxed sets... but a while back (well over a year ago... ) I corresponded via email with a guy who insisted he had gotten some years ago when staying at the hotel-casino as "bus tokens" so he and his wife could ride some bus for free. (some kind of local shuttle maybe?)

Of course, I wasn't there. In fact - I have NEVER been there

I do know that the tokens are clay based and manufactured by some company in CA. I wonder if they'd know their intended use - and quanity made.

Could Harrah's have sold them in a gift shop... but at some time - also used some for casino use?

I REALLY need to go to Tahoe and find some old-timer that has worked there an eternity. There are MANY MANY things I'd like to know.
