Although you are making a pretty good case that Gold, Silver and Bronze awards have more affiliation to "sports" than to chips, tokens, or Silver Strikes. Nonetheless, it remains that the three tier designations for the COTY, TOTY and SSOTY place finishers, in descending order, will be Gold, Silver and Bronze.
